Why risk adding to the negative statistics?

The success rate for implementing a PMO’s doesn’t look good – especially considering that the part of the organization initiating the PMO tends to be the most experienced project management or business savvy  part of the organization:

  • 30% fail in the first year
  • 50% fail within the second year

Many PMOs start-off with a bang, with lots of executive support, templates – maybe a PPM implementation and then slowly lose momentum within the first year. If this stagnation is not addressed quickly, it could quickly mean the end of the road for the PMO.

How I can help

I have worked with and mentored several PMO organisations all over the world which were implementing a PPM. I know what a political jungle implementing a PMO can be.

I can help cut through and help the PMO stay on the path to providing real, business-driven value to the organization.

Besides my extensive experience, I completed a Portfolio, Programme Project Offices (P3O) certification and have written several articles applying the theory to the real world experience.
